To improve healthcare services at Dangkor District Referral Hospital in Phnom Penh, Cambodia, particularly focusing on trauma and surgical services to enhance access to quality healthcare for vulnerable populations, including factory workers at risk of industrial accidents and traffic accidents. The Hospital 's site area: 5,233㎡, Gross floor area: 3,700㎡, Program: outpatient clinics, emergency room, operating rooms, delivery room, 70 beds, etc., This project aims to upgrade Dangkao Referral Hospital from CPA Level 1 to 2, establishing a trauma hospital system and enhancing medical staff capabilities. The existing building will be demolished and rebuilt to meet CPA Level 2 standards. Future horizontal or vertical expansions may be required. Design objective:
A. Maximise operational efficiency by optimising space utilisation and workflow design.
B. Enhance patient safety and infection control by upgrading isolation room designs and segregation clean and soiled utility flows.
C. Facilitate effective healthcare delivery through patient-centere designs with flexible consulation and examination rooms.
D. Ensure Compliance with local regulations by incorporation new building code requirements, including septic tanks and medical waste storage.
E. accommodate future expansion and flexibility to meet evolving healthcare needs.
