The UHS University Hospital operates under the Cambodian Ministry of Health and has a total gross floor area of 25,087 m². The building consists of 7 floors and provides 200 beds. It is designed to serve as Cambodia’s premier medical facility, offering cutting-edge healthcare services. The hospital plays a pivotal role in establishing standards for integrated clinical medical education by bringing together eight university hospitals across Cambodia.
The project site is located in a designated development zone northwest of central Phnom Penh, in alignment with the Brand Phnom Penh International City master plan, which anticipates a significant population influx and the relocation of key central city functions. The main hospital functions are organized along a central “Hospital Street” to support intuitive wayfinding, while the layout allows for future horizontal expansion with minimal disruption to ongoing operations.
